Reduce - Reuse - Recycle
The 3 Rs stand for 3 basic principles of sound waste management:
- REDUCE the waste you produce in the first place
- RE‐USE items before they become waste
- RECYCLE your waste – many waste types can be reprocessed into useful materials and products
Waste reduction is one of the most important aspects of waste management and one in which everyone can participate. In the most basic form, we need to think about what we are buying and using. Schools can reduce wastes in many ways.
